1. Guided tours will be conducted even in rainy weather. Please bring rain gear just in case. (Rain suits are recommended as pants may get wet after rain or from dew.)

2. Tours may be canceled or cancelled due to bad weather.

3. Sweet scents attract hornets and brown bears. As a general rule, avoid carrying food with you as it will have an adverse effect if dropped.

4. Drinking alcohol just before the tour, or drinking and smoking during the tour is strictly prohibited.

6. Pregnant women cannot participate in tours.

​

7. Please refrain from talking on mobile phones during the tour.

​

8. If you would like to be picked up from the Utoro area, you will meet at your accommodation approximately 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Pick-up and drop-off will be provided by SHINRA.

9. Rain boots will be provided to prevent ticks and poison ivy rash. Please let us know your shoe size when making your reservation (units are cm, no half sizes available).
Also, it is best to wear long pants and bring insect repellent spray.

10. This is a 4km walk along an "animal trail" that has not been developed as a promenade, so it is recommended for people with good walking skills. The route has an elevation difference of about 60m and includes places where you will have to go around or step over large fallen trees as well as through grass.
